Dr Who Pirate Broadcast -
In November of 1987 channel 11 (PBS) in Chicago was airing an episode of dr. who (“the horror of fang rock”)  when midway through a pirate TV broadcaster in a max headroom mask over rode their signal for about a minute and a half.  Max headroom did a little skit where he would drink a can of Pepsi and throw it away and other stupid antics.  Towards the end of the skit he drops his pants, moons the screen and gets spanked with a fly swatter.  The pirate stopped the broadcast on his own (channel 11 didn’t knock it off the air).  Since channel 11 is public, it didn’t really have the power to knock the broadcast off.  some of his words can be made out, but most of it was distorted.  This is the historic entire broadcast.
